Although tractors are relatively complex machines and their types and sizes vary, they are all composed of three major parts: engine, chassis and electrical equipment, and each of them is indispensable.
Engine
It is the device that generates power for the tractor. Its function is to convert the thermal energy of the fuel into mechanical energy and output power to the outside.
Chassis
It is the device that transmits power to the tractor. Its function is to transmit the power of the engine to the drive wheels and working devices to make the tractor move and complete mobile operations or fixed functions.
Electrical equipment
It is a device that ensures the power consumption of the tractor. Its function is to solve the lighting, safety signals and engine starting.
Influencing factors
1. Rolling resistance. The rolling resistance of the tractor is mainly caused by the deformation of the tires and soil.
2.Traction resistance. Traction resistance is the resistance that the tractor has to overcome when driving agricultural machinery to operate.
3. Driving force. It is the horizontal reaction force of the road surface on the driving wheel.
Driving principle
The tractor can travel by the power of the internal combustion engine through the transmission system, so that the driving wheel obtains the driving torque Mk. The driving wheel with the driving torque then exerts a small, backward horizontal force (tangential force) on the ground through the tire pattern and tire surface, and the ground exerts a horizontal force Pk of equal magnitude and opposite direction to the driving force. This Pk horizontal force is the driving force that pushes the tractor forward (also called propulsion force).
Steps to drive a tractor:
1. Put the tractor in neutral, pull the clutch, and step on the accelerator.
2. Start the tractor by hand. After the diesel engine is burning, sit down. Put the tractor in gear with your right hand (select a low gear for easy starting), and slowly release the clutch with your left hand. 3. Walk-behind tractors are more dangerous agricultural machinery. Pay attention to safety during driving. Do not put the tractor in neutral when going downhill.
4. Steps to shut down the tractor: Pull the clutch. Apply the brake. Put the tractor in neutral. Reduce the accelerator. To prevent sliding after the tractor stops, use bricks or other objects to block the tires.
